Who should be HICC Captain in Winter League 20/20 Tournament?

Guys Winter League 20/20 Tournament starts on coming Sunday 2nd December for HICC at our Sardar Patel Stadium. We need to have your say in team composition and leadership. Let us have an open discussion for HICC team. Everyone's opinion is important for the team. Discuss your thoughts and let the season begin on the right foot. Good Luck.

Yes, we need to start the season on the right foot, evenif you are a lefthander! As to leadership, I have no interest in running the team. I personally feel that we do not need to have this discussion as the winter season is starting this Sunday. Let's play together and win! Bhavesh bhai I think that we should have a discussion and then decide a Captain, because once the Captain is decided he should have full support of all the players. So when everyone decides on a Captain, they would have to support him.

Last season we had the same problem of people not supporting the Captain. So I believe we should have a discussion and then decide a Captain so that later we won't have people complainig about Captainacy and would give 100% for the team rather than blaming the Captain for everything that happens in the game.

This is just my view.

It is a valid point Gaurav. I personally feel that you should be focusing on your wedding but it is good to see you take time to be involved in this discussion. I was just telling someone that if Gaurav was here, he would have fun with this! And there you are! :-)

First, we need to know who are the candidates for this position. Then we can have a discussion. As of now, no one has expressed his interest in running the team. Let's hear from whoever is interested...

Here is my view guys. We had really bad season. What i have experienced is that its not about captancy ,its about performing. Who is captain or who is not doesnt make any diffarence on ground. We dont have many options in our team.People has define job to do in game. For example Kishan= batting+ part time bowling. Whoever is captain, his job will be his job.Neither one of among us or AUZS captain can do anything to make game win, if Kishan and others doesnt make runs.

Captaincy comes into picture where game is in critical situation and needs to make good dicision, but we had that situation in 2 or 3 games only. All other gmaes were purly poor perfomace.So lets get our job done first and than we can discusse about captaincy all day long.

I am hopping to have good start for winter.

It is always about team and yes everyone on the team is responsible to do their job. Captain's job is to get the best out of his players. That's where his skills to interact with different individual comes into play. A captain's role is to work with each individual player in different way as each players are different. A Captain should have the unconditional support from all his players and captain should have confidence in all his players abilities. Different players require different form of encouragement to perform better. Our team is more like a family and I have put this point here for an open discussion. We all need to work together and provide our inputs. I have nothing against any individual or I am not favoring anyone. I want HICC to perform better. Last year we performed below our level and I am sure we have better players then what our record shows. Something was missing as team was not playing the games as a team. we were just 11 individuals doing our job. Let us hope we all are on same page and like I said start on the right foot (even if you are a left footer). Kuldeep has done well in the past and he is a well organized and takes responsibility. We need every other players to start taking responsibility and come forwrd to help our club. I want all our palyers to be positive when we paly and believe in your Captain and your teammates. Cricket is still a team sport and only if we play as team then we can perform better. Good Luck for the upcoming season.

hmmm interesting frm chatoorchand. Valid point though. Im glad he knows what his job is as everyone else should.
