Food for thought...

If Sachin is keen on continuing for another year or two in either test cricket or one day cricket, he should first spend some time with his coach or Gavaskar and try to correct his technical flaw. In last 3 years, more than 90% of his dismissals have been bowled with an inside edge. This percentage is higher in crucial matches. Is it because of gap between bat and pad or any other reason, only his coach can observe and rectify it. He should spend lot of time at the nets playing against quality left arm spinners and also practice against the ball coming inside. (Inswing or fast offcutter). He gets bogged down against left arm spinners and does not use his feet at all. This is true with our other batsmen including Dravid. No body is dominating spinners since; no one uses their feet to play spinners. Every one tries to play from the crease. The only scoring shot they can play is to step out and lift the ball over long on/ long off. Our batsmen including Sachin and Dravid are struggling to score against spinners from countries like Bangaldesh, Zimbagwe, West Indies.. and not just Warne or Murali.

What do you guys think?

Re: Food for thought...

Another interesting post...

Can anybody tell me why we all are discussing only for Sachin. Dravid and Ganguly are also treat as great players. Both are more aged than Sachin. If Sachin has to retire the whole TRIMURTI should retire b''coz I don''t think Sachin has the worse record than Dravid and Ganguly. Agree that Sachin is not at his best as 100 Crores wants him but what about Mr.Dependebale and Mr.Prince and Mr.Jumbo. Dravid is no more dependeble. Ganguly is only prince for Kolkata. Kumble can''t jump any more.

Re: Food for thought...
I think Sachin and Dravid still has still 2 more years.  Atleast they are willing to run between the wickets.  We should put them on rotation policy and only play 1 of them each game so they can train young players!  We need to get rid of Ganguly NOW!

Tejasbhai so how does this apply to HICC players?  How many Jumbos do we have?  lol
